Here we are again!

Second post here. Wow, that last one was wild huh? I just started writing and spouting off and that was the result. I’m going to do the same for this post and hope to keep up with this style of theme. I was planning on writing again yesterday (Monday) but Mondays typically have this way of getting away from us. Anyway…

SO! Thanks for making it to the second post in my blog if you are curious and enjoyed the first one then welcome back. I wanted to reel it back a bit before I get carried away and blab on about wild stuff that I either intercept or have an understanding about and have read or picked up somewhere in a book, podcast, class or just on the streets.

Let’s shed a bit of light on Joel the practitioner as you may or may not know him! Of course, he’s me but I’m writing to you all so keep up and laugh with me.

I have always had a heart for customer service. After I began my working career at 16 as a “dish bitch” at the old Vagabond Inn restaurant in Paulding, Ohio. I moved into a carryout/stock boy position at the local grocery store. During my high school years I worked here and developed a love of taking good care of customers and making sure they had a swell shopping experience. Later I went on to sales representative for Verizon Wireless and then managed a few stores before becoming burnt out in 2014.

At the right time, the call to enter the field of therapeutic massage came to the forefront and I checked out a college, the Institute of Therapeutic Massage in Lima Ohio on Halloween of 2014. It was there I made a choice to further my participation in customer service as an LMT. Loved the school and all the various educators. I loved the realm of medicine and natural health so much that I graduated valedictorian.

During my younger years in academics, this would be a joke. It wasn’t until I realized that the call to the healing arts was more than just about a job or career path. Something else stirred…

I ran through the motions of a typical LMT having worked at Massage Envy, along side a Chiropractor, a spa, corporate healthcare clinic, and more. Finally… in 2023, I began my own practice under my own LLC and business entity.

The transformations that have taken place since deciding to branch out, be bold, and continue on a path of growth have been life changing. The raw emotions that are felt by a first time business owner are real and sometimes real scary. Standing on the precipice of the unknown and staring into the pit of uncertainty isn’t for the faint of heart. I wouldn’t be able to do it without support. Amazing and often overwhelming support from amazing clients, friends, family, and so many others who believe in the magic of Holistic Wizard Wellness.

As I grow and continue to learn the depths of mind-body medicine and Craniosacral Therapy, I hope to ignite in you a new reverence for alternative medicine and see that perhaps something so “alternative” is actually just something old, mystical, and forgotten. Perhaps we can dive deeper into realms of unimaginable possibilities!

I’m excited to be of service to you. Thank you for reading!

May the Force be with you!

Joel
